Newcomerstown Man Summoned at Age of 84

Peter Hammersley, aged 84, died Sunday afternoon at 1 o’clock at
the home of his son, Edward Hammersley, South River Street,
Newcomerstown, from infirmities of age.
He was born March 6, 1845 near Plainfield. The greater part of
his live was lived in the Plainfield vicinity.
Three sons, Edward, Newcomerstown, Harry of Plainfield, and John
of Uhrichsville, survive. He was a member of the Baptist Church
at Birds Run.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock
at the home of the son, Edward, South River Street. Burial will
be made in Schweitzer Cemetery at Mariatt's Run.
