Widow, 66, Dies at Newcomerstown After Year's
Illness

Mrs.
Augusta Mae Wise, 66, widow of Jesse Leroy Wise, died at 2 p.m. Friday
in her home, 637 South College Street, Newcomerstown, after a year's illness
of heart trouble. She had been bedfast four months.
She was born April 10, 1881, at Evans Creek, a
daughter of Philip and Laura Ann Schide and spent her entire life in Newcomerstown
and vicinity. Her husband died April 2, 1924.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Chester Porcher
and Mrs. Laura Fouch; four sons, Ralph, Francis, Elmer and Lorin,
all of Newcomerstown; 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday
in the Assembly of God Church, Newcomerstown, with Rev. Alice M. Davis,
Scio, and Rev. E.B. Johnson, Cambridge, officiating. Burial will
be amde in the State Street cemetery, Newcomerstown.
Friends may call at the home of the son, Ralph,
515 South College Street this evening and until the time of services. |
