Mrs. Cora Porcher Dies at Age of 46

Mrs. Cora Pearl Porcher, 46, of 227 Chestnut Street [Newcomerstown, OH] died at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Guernsey Memorial Hospital, Cambridge, after three days illness.

Mrs. Porcher, was the daughter of [Jesse] Leroy and Augusta Schide Wise and was born July 28, 1907.

She was twice married, first to Florin Jurin who died in 1934 and then to Chester Porcher in 1935, who survives.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Other survivors are nine children, Mrs. Marilyn Jurin Sauerbrey of West Lafayette RD 1, Jack and Richard Jurin of Newcomerstown and Gary Jurin of the U.S. Navy, Patty, Virginia Lee, Sue, James and Kenneth Porcher of the home;  four brothers, Ralph Sr., Francis, Elmer and Lorin Wise all of Newcomerstown and one sister, Mrs. Laura Fouch, residence unknown.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Assembly of God Church, conducted by Rev. Daena Cargnel and burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today at the Bonnell Funeral Home.
