NEWCOMERSTOWN - Services for Lorin Gerald Wise, 52, of 515 South College Street, will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Ourant Funeral Home.

He died Saturday in Bethesda Hospital at Zanesville [OH] after a short illness.

Rev. Bruce Weaver will officiate and burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery.  Calling hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 with Moose Lodge services at 6:45.

Born here, he was a son of the late Ralph "Curly" and Sarah Berry Wise.

He was employed for more than 20 years at the former Alsco Company at Gnadenhutten where he was a paint line operator.

He was a member and past governor of Newcomerstown Moose Lodge and a member of 25 Club and Tuscarawas Veterans Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, the former Virginia "Ginger" Maurer, whom he married October 19, 1953;  two sons and a daughter Michael of Washington, DC, Mitchell of Bolivar and Tracy of here;  three brothers and a sister, Ralph Jr. and Mrs. Charles (Doris) Fitch of Coshocton, William of here and Robert of Elgin, OK;  and three grandchildren.  A son [Terry Lane Wise] is deceased.
